For the sketchbook cover movie poster after an hour or two of brainstorming i decided to just do my most up front and simple design, just made better. The cover relates to me in quite a literal way as i have a strong fear of spiders. I used the elements and principles of design effectively with my use of colour, the black and white really pop and create a sense of contrast and emphasis. The rather "sharp" and "pointy" look to the background, spider and font help tie the image togeather and create a sense of unity. The multi layered and shaded backdrop "web" makes the immage have depth and make it far more interesting than otherwise.
